IT Support Technician – Baton Rouge, LA (Temporary Assignment)
Approximately 90-Day Assignment

Job Summary:
We are seeking an IT Support Technician for approximately a 90-day temporary assignment based in Baton Rouge, LA. The role will provide hands-on technical support to the Baton Rouge team and remote support to other offices. The ideal candidate will assist with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting the company’s IT infrastructure and gain exposure to a range of technologies including cloud and security platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide on-site technical support for desktop, web-based, and client/server applications, networking hardware, operating systems, and third-party or custom software.

Collaborate with the broader IT Support team to offer remote assistance to users company-wide, including field workers, managers, and executives.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workstations, hardware setup for current and new employees (including remote setups), user domain and Office 365 accounts, and software licensing management (e.g., Adobe, AutoDesk).

Support onboarding processes, laptop configuration, asset and inventory tracking, and helpdesk ticket administration.

Participate in daily IT Support team calls and promptly respond to or route helpdesk requests.

Maintain a security-first mindset while assisting with the enforcement of IT security policies and procedures.

Document issues and resolutions in internal knowledge bases.

Utilize software updates, drivers, FAQs, and other resources for issue resolution.

Continuously assess current tools and processes to recommend improvements.

Review and update support procedures and user walkthroughs as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong knowledge of desktop applications, client/server systems, networking protocols, security principles, operating systems, and common third-party and custom applications.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage several requests simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Microsoft Office 365 administration; certifications are a plus.

Broad knowledge of various IT systems and hardware, with a user-friendly approach to support and issue resolution.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, use hands, reach, and speak/hear regularly.

Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Must have color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
