The QA Expeditor plays a key role in supporting quality assurance and shipping operations by performing inspections on in-process parts, raw materials, and finished products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using measuring tools, reading technical documents, and assisting with the preparation of shipping and quality documentation.
This is a hands-on warehouse role requiring attention to detail, familiarity with QA procedures, and a proactive mindset.
Perform visual and mechanical inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, Pi tape, and alloy testers
Read and interpret customer specifications, product drawings, and inspection data
Verify incoming material and in-process components meet quality standards
Record inspection findings and generate required paperwork for internal use and customer documentation
Assist with work order closures, product tagging, and order consolidation before shipping
Generate shipping paperwork and quality documents per the sales order
Maintain accurate QA records using basic computer software
Detect and report material defects, equipment issues, or procedural inconsistencies
Follow all warehouse safety procedures
Other duties as assigned by management
Initial 4–5 weeks of training will be conducted locally in Baton Rouge, focused on learning the company’s products, terminology, and procedures
After local onboarding, the employee will be required to travel to Texas for 1 week of hands-on QA training with the client's QA team
A second trip to Texas may be required, but not immediately—there will be an evaluation period after the first trip, followed by another 4-week training window before additional travel
Travel to Texas is mandatory for this position; all travel expenses will be covered by the client
High school diploma or GED required
6 months to 1 year of experience in inspection, warehouse, or QA-related work preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
Comfortable with basic math and measurement conversions
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Able to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally assist with heavier lifting using carts or dollies
Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment
