AMMON Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / MIG Welder for a day shift opportunity in Walker, Louisiana. This position is with a manufacturing operation and is ideal for someone with strong welding, fabrication, and repair experience.
The Fabricator / MIG Welder will be responsible for building, repairing, and modifying metal components, fixtures, equipment, and other materials used in production operations.
Perform MIG welding on metal components and structures
Fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair parts, fixtures, and equipment
Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and measurements
Cut, fit, and prepare materials for welding
Assist with maintenance and repair of production equipment
Inspect work to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements
MIG welding experience required
Fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Ability to read and follow basic drawings or blueprints
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Frequency: Hourly
Pay Rate: $27/hour
Schedule: Day Shift
Overtime: Yes, as needed
