We are recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant to join the accounting team of a well-established retail company based in Baton Rouge. This role will be instrumental in managing financial operations across multiple store locations and supporting the company’s transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite. 💼 Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly reconciliation of NetSuite Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
Verify POS system reports and align with NetSuite data to generate timely monthly financial statements.
Assist with annual budgeting by location and entity.
Support the implementation of NetSuite, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
Identify process improvements and streamline accounting functions through automation and system optimization.
Provide backup support for the Retail Accounting Manager, including during absences.
Analyze staffing needs for current and post-implementation periods.
Manage sales tax filings and payroll processing (ADP) for all retail locations.
Provide data and reporting support for audits and financial reviews.
Contribute to cash flow management for multiple entities.
✅ Requirements:
Strong experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks (required)
Full understanding of retail accounting processes and multi-entity operations
Experience with ADP payroll systems
Ability to research and troubleshoot accounting system issues independently
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Willingness to work overtime during implementation phases
Team player with a "whatever it takes"attitude
