A well-established Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contractor is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support its Human Resources department. This company specializes in high-quality commercial and industrial projects and is known for its commitment to excellence in construction, engineering, and project management.
The Administrative Assistant – Human Resources will provide vital support to the HR Manager, handling various administrative and HR-related tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Assist the Human Resources Manager with daily administrative tasks and HR processes.
Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training coordination.
Process new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and compliance documentation.
Support payroll processing and timekeeping as needed.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Assist with scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and maintaining HR files.
Manage office communications, data entry, and document organization.
Handle additional administrative tasks as assigned.
✅ HR Experience Required: Previous experience in human resources, payroll, or administrative support is highly preferred.
✅ Construction Industry Experience a Plus: Familiarity with construction, contracting, or industrial environments is beneficial but not required.
✅ Strong Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS software is a plus.
✅ Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
✅ Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
